Anne Cusack

VETERINARIAN | COMMENCED 2022

Where did you grow up and how did your childhood shape you to work at Yass Valley Veterinary?

I grew up not too far away in Sutton, on my parents sheep and cattle farm. Being around animals from a young age instilled a great interest in the veterinary profession. Stu has been pregnancy testing my Dad's cattle for as long as I can remember, and now I have the privilege of doing it myself.

What qualifications do you have?

Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science

Why do you like working at Yass Valley Veterinary?

I love the variety of mixed practice - every day is different and presents new challenges. I strongly value living in a rural community, and developing close relationships with clients and their pets. It is also extremely rewarding to assist producers with their livestock.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family and pitching in with the farm work where I can. I love being an Aunty to my new niece, and when I'm not away with friends on the weekend I also enjoy working on my house.

What pets do you have?

Currently I am pet-less! But a newly resurrected fence around my house should soon fix that problem. Fortunately I get to cuddle many other furry friends at work each day.
