Yass Valley Veterinary

APPOINTMENT POLICY

Yass Valley Veterinary is an appointment-only clinic, no walk-ins will be accepted at this time. This allows us to better schedule our day, which results in less wait time for you. Should your pet need to be seen, please book ahead to allow us to fit you into the schedule. You can book online using the following link. https://www.yassvet.com.au/online-booking

LATE ARRIVALS POLICY

Appointments arriving more than 10 minutes late will be considered "Missed Appointments" and may need to be rescheduled.

Late arriving appointments may cause several problems:

  1. Increased wait time for those that did arrive on time for their appointment
  2. Patient care becomes rushed
  3. Increased safety risk for both the staff and patients, due to limited space in the waiting room.

We recognize that your pet may need medical attention and we do not wish to turn your pet away. However, late arriving appointments may be asked to reschedule if the veterinarian's schedule cannot accommodate you. Priority is given to patients that arrive on time. If you choose to wait, the wait time may be considerable and unpredictable.

MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY

At YVV, your scheduled appointment time is reserved exclusively for you and your pet. YVV does not overbook appointment times. We believe optimal veterinary care can only be provided for your pet, if we have enough time set aside to adequately examine, diagnose and discuss treatment options with you in detail. Missed appointments without notice interfere with our ability to provide this service and to run our day efficiently.

We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling needs. In return, we ask that you help us by keeping your scheduled appointments, arriving on time, and notifying us a minimum of two(2) business hours in advance if you are unable to do so. When YVV receives notice of cancellations, we can avoid misspent employee time and more importantly, we can accommodate other patients needing care.

Cancellations without a minimum 2 hours notice interfere with our ability to provide veterinary services to animals in need and affects the ability to run our day efficiently. Cancellations without 2 hours' notice will incur a $45 fee, and "no shows" will result in a $79 fee.

TRIAGE

Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, followed by previously scheduled appointments. After that fit-ins will be seen, as they can be worked into the appointment schedule.

SATURDAY SURCHARGE

As of the 1st July 2022, vaccinations and consultations on Saturdays will incur a surcharge. For an estimated cost of services, please call our team or Chat with us on our Yass Vet App.

FEES & PAYMENT
If your family suffers the misfortune of a sick or injured pet, the last thing you need is added anxiety around money. We will provide financial estimates for all procedures in advance and keep you updated daily for on-going cases.

Payment plans are available through Vetpay, a repayment facility specifically designed to eliminate the worry associated with unexpected veterinary healthcare expenses. This allows you to commence your pet’s treatment straight away and pay for it over time. A simple application for pre-approval can be made online and is valid for 6 months. This is free of charge and there is no obligation to proceed on approved applications. Alternatively, one of our friendly staff can assist you.

Please note: payment at the time of consultation or discharge from hospital is required. For major medical and surgery cases or where overnight hospitalisation is necessary a 50% deposit is required for any bills over $500. We accept cash, EFTPOS, all major credit cards and approved Vetpay applications.
