Isabelle Card

BVETBIOL, BVSC | VETERINARIAN | COMMENCED 2023

Where did you grow up and how did your childhood shape you to work at Yass Valley Veterinary?

I spent part of my childhood in Yass on a small property, before my family moved to the Bathurst/Orange region when I was 10. I’ve had a myriad of animals around me as I’ve grown up (dogs, cats, sheep, geese, ducks, chooks, rabbits, donkeys and horses!) which fuelled a passion to study veterinary science and become part of the profession. It is heartwarming to be back in Yass and serving the community by helping to look after their animals!

What qualifications do you have?

Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science, from CSU in Wagga Wagga.

Why do you like working at Yass Valley Veterinary?

The team is so fun and welcoming, all working together for the good of each animal that comes through the door, and the ones we see on farm. I’m looking forward to learning and growing as a new graduate vet as I see a wide variety of animals.

What you like doing in your spare time?

I enjoy knitting, embroidery, reading, and exploring the outdoors.

What pets do you have?

Margo my 6-month-old energetic whippet & two retired horses at my parent’s farm
