Loren Davis
NURSE SUPERVISOR | COMMENCED FEBRUARY 2014

Where did you grow up & how did your childhood shape you to work at Yass Valley Veterinary?

I grew up on sheep & cattle properties in the local area & I often spent my school holidays mustering and helping out around the property at every chance I could get. I’ve always owned a variety of animals while growing up, from small exotics through to larger animals as well. I’ve always taken a big interest in their health & welfare, which I followed through with in school & onto working at YVV.

What qualifications do you have?

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Why do you like working at Yass Valley Veterinary?

I really like the variety of things to see and do each day, no shift is ever the same. I also enjoy getting the opportunity to make a difference by helping animals of all shapes and sizes when they are unwell or in pain – I also enjoy helping & educating clients both in clinic & through puppy preschool.

I also love the bonus of being able to work with such great, like-minded people who I’ve developed lifelong friendships with.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

In my spare time you’ll find me either out riding my horses, occasionally competing, or spending time with my 2 young boys.

What pets do you have?

I have two staffies - Letty & Indie, my horses – Sash, Ru & Jellybean & a large aviary of budgies.
