COMMENCED 2021

Where did you grow up and how did your childhood shape you to work at Yass Valley Veterinary?

I grew up in Sydney but was always collecting pets (as many as mum would allow). I always had an interest in medicine which was nurtured by my Aunty, Lynne. Lynne was a passionate nurse practitioner and had me reading medical books and taking heart rates from a young age. I can remember learning how to bandage my soft toys when I was young. This interest in medicine merged with my love of animals and becoming a veterinarian become my life goal. My interest in all animals and eagerness to do my best for them makes me well suited to the diverse case load we see at Yass Valley Veterinary .

What qualifications do you have?

I have a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science.

Why do you like working at Yass valley veterinary?

The diversity of the cases we see here at Yass Valley Veterinary keeps me interested and forever learning and growing as a vet. However, what makes it all the more enjoyable is the fantastic team I work with. I’m lucky to work in such a supportive and competent team.

What you like doing in your spare time?

In my spare time I love to draw colourful animal portraits. When I’m not drawing I’m outside tending to my ever-growing menagerie, breaking in cattle for show or riding a horse.

What pets do you have?

I have 6 dogs, 2 cats, 5 horses, 3 poddy sheep, numerous chickens, some peacocks and the latest addition is some fantail pigeons. We also run cattle.
